The Market Basket in the first photo (Long Beach) has been replaced with a 24 Hour Fitness Gym on Bellflower just north of Spring. I think there's a bicycle store on the corner now.

Strangely enough, that seems to have been a fairly common term in California way back when. In fact, there's still a fairly well-known one in San Francisco.

I suppose that's no more unusual than the ever popular "Asian Bistro" that seems to be prevalent around here these days.
