Thriftimart, 3621 S La Brea, Los Angeles -- vintage pictures

I found these pictures via the Lotta Living board of a Thriftimart located at 3621 S La Brea at Rodeo in the Baldwin Hills section of Los Angeles. (It's pronounced Ro-dee-o, not Ro-day-o, which is the Beverly Hills street.) The store opened on April 1, 1948 and these pictures are from that era.

By 1978 the store was a Big Ben's Records and later a Wherehouse. The store has since been subdivided into smaller stores.
