Where was the "Whittier Downs" Shopping Center? What else was in it?
The McCoy's mom shopped at when I was a kid was in East Whittier, near the intersection of Leffingwell Road and Santa Gertrudes Ave., about a mile south of Whittwood.

The Whittier Downs Mall was at the Corner of Washington and Norwalk blvds in Whittier ca
The mall included Thriftys, JC Penney, McCoys market, Sprouse Ritz.. and I think a thriftys coffee shop.

I don't know when the one at Leffingwell and Santa Gertrudes closed we moved to a house just down the street in the 80's and it was U-haul then
