Edmonton Chain Grocery/Supermarket Locations, 1930-1987

This is a list of all known chain grocery addresses in Edmonton between 1930 and 1987, complied from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. It is generated through a live Google Spreadsheet so it reflects the latest information I have.

Access and download the location spreadsheet via Google Sheets.

A note about Edmonton’s geography:

Edmonton’s street network is unusual in that it features a numbered grid and quadrant system, but this system is not centered on the center of town, which is more or less located at the intersection of 100th Street and 100th Avenue. Therefore, basically all of the city is in the northwest quadrant, and very high block and street numbers may actually be very close to downtown.
