This is a list of all chain grocery locations my research has uncovered in Columbus between 1930 and 1975, compiled from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. There may be some omissions due to incomplete or missing data, etc. and I welcome suggestions and corrections. Please read about my methodology for more information about what I do and do not include.

Notes:

• Since the street numbering system generally crosses seamlessly from Columbus into the suburbs, I have not sorted the individual municipalities into separate groups.
• City directories prior to 1930 do not list Kroger locations, so I have opted to start in 1930 since I prefer not to have incomplete years, particularly when the top chain is the missing one.
