Atlanta Chain Grocery/Supermarket Locations, 1930-1991

This is a list of all known chain grocery addresses in Atlanta between 1930 and 1991, compiled from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. It is generated through a live Google Spreadsheet so it reflects the latest information I have.

View and download a copy of this location spreadsheet via Google Sheets.

There are almost certainly missing locations, particularly in the suburbs. Additional info gladly accepted.

Believe it was on Sylvan Road just south of highway 166. There is a huge all-brick complex that I was told were once.Big Star offices and DC. The buildings and parking lot are now used for things like a truck driving school and Herc equipment rentals.for movies. Kroger’s old Atlanta DC is only a block away and it is a great location for doing a grocery DC.
