Directory of American Shopping Centers, 1964

This handy book which I found at a thrift store (which used to be a Safeway) in San Leandro, California has been most helpful to me. It lists major shopping centers all over the US and Canada with construction dates, addresses, and major tenants.

I've used it to create a sort of database of what chains were where in 1964, which happens also to be the year I was born.
