Former Taco Bell in Oak Grove, Oregon

Could anyone help me decipher how old this former Taco Bell in Oak Grove, OR really is?
Clues: Fire pit, masonry construction

And here's the location that took over around 1999:

Apparently, originally I thought this Mission-style store (in the 1st photo) to have opened in the early 1980s going by the Knight Rider-style font of the "TACO BELL" logo on the storefront, but the masonry constructed building as well as the fire pit made me think otherwise. But am I also to think that the drive-thru may not have been there originally?
