This is a list of all chain grocery locations my research has uncovered in St Petersburg and Southern Pinellas County (Pinellas Park, Seminole, and the St Petersburg beaches) between 1925 and 2015, compiled from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. There may be some omissions due to incomplete or missing data, etc. and I welcome suggestions and corrections. Please read about my methodology for more information about what I do and do not include.

Notes:

• Some data is missing for the suburban locations in 1993 and 1999. I hope to correct this soon.
• This list does not reflect the brief appearance of Kroger’s Florida’s Choice stores, ca. 1988. I will try to correct this soon as well.
