Also, there used to be a Crawfords Market in El Monte on Valley and Garvey, and one (which is still open) in Norwalk. I dont know if these were all the same or not.

CVS entered the market here in the 1980's I beleive but were sold to Sav-On in the late 80's (?)

There was a CVS in our mall that opened in 1985. It was a large store suprisingly.

The very large Vons store in Alhambra closed this past Sunday. The lease was up. Apparently Ralphs owns the building and was leasing it to Vons.

What is going to happen to the building is uncertain.

Well I didn't know it closed.

I'm kind of saddened now. I liked that retro looking store.

And did anything ever take over the market spot. Last I remember, it was a Max Foods. What was it before / After Max?

Food 4 Less on the Banning / Beaumont Border was originally a Kmart. When it moved across the freeway, Food 4 Less moved in.

This is the only shopping center I know that has a Stater Brothers and a Food 4 Less in the same center. 2 markets in one center.
