Oddly enough, the former Payless Drugs (now a Longs after Rite Aid sold out their converted Payless and Thrifty) by my house looked EXACTLY as this store did. They were called "future stores" and most of the aisles were placed on a 45 degree angle. The store now has hunter green signage around the store and all the aisles are in standard rows.
The PayLess that opened near my former home in Vancouver, Washington in the mid-90s did not have that interior, but the pharmacy was at the front, just to the right of the doors as you walk in. It also did not have diagonal aisles, but was considerably smaller than the nearby large PayLess it replaced. It is now a Rite Aid and the interior hasn't changed a whole lot.
