I remember a store called "Book and Record" in the late 70's to early 80's. They had a store in New Paltz, NY, in the same plaza that had a Barkers Department Store and a Great American Food Store. They had 2 other stores. One in Poughkeepsie and one in Wappinger Falls that I remember. Not...

I live in Middletown, NY and while we didn't have a Grand Union in town, there was one in Goshen, and one in Matamoras, PA. The one in Goshen is now a CVS, and the one in Matamoras is still intact, interior decorating (wall labels, etc) and all. I've been meaning to go take pictures through the win...

Former Grand Union, Route 299, New Paltz, NY. Opened in December 1969 and closed early 1980's. It now houses a Rite-Aid on the left half of the building. The right half has a TCBY and used to have a Blockbuster Video, but now empty. In the back was Inner Wall Store. The front was just redone 2 weeks...

A closed Great American, 261 North Main Street, Liberty this morning. The other Great American in Liberty is now partly a Sears Center.
