Pretty interesting to see a marina replace a gable (if that's what I'm seeing) - how often did same-generation Saefway buildings replace each other?

Here is a link to a photo. It's got the 'new' logo, and from the cars you can tell it's a recent photo. To the best of my knowledge, it's the only one designed like this. The other mid 60's Macy's CA stores in Sacramento (1963), Concord (67) and Daly City (68) all look similar to each other, but no...

San Bruno still has an active "cottage" location on El Camino Real, while the Arden-Arcade area in Sacramento (at Watt/El Camino) has one that has been closed for about a year or two.

Thinking of old Oakland Safeways now, I checked Goole street view and see that the Claremont Ave. Safeway in Oakland is now closed. When did that happen? I always thought it was cool to see such a vintage store active in a relatively well-off area. Oh well, glad all of us are out there documenting ...
