On a related subject, is it safe to assume that most Food Basics stores around Toronto are former A&P or Dominion locations? Or that most No Frills stores are former Loblaw's? Anyone familar with the Toronto landscape out there?

Resurrecting this thread to say "not necessarily" about No Frills. My ex-husband and I lived just outside Stouffville between 2008 and '13. A couple of years after our arrival, its No Frills moved from next to the LCBO and Shoppers across and down Main St. to the building vacated by Sobey's when they threw in the towel (thanks, Wal-Mart!).
