This is a list of all known chain grocery addresses in Hamilton between 1925 and 2022, compiled from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. It is generated through a live Google Spreadsheet so it reflects the latest information I have.

Notes:

  • I have accessed new data and have filled in most of the “holes” from the Vernon Directories between 1970 and 2001. This list should be pretty complete.
  • Barn stores were listed under several names, which are included in the notes.
  • The Longo’s store on Concession Street seems unrelated to the chain.
