Charlotte
Charlotte has a long and interesting chain supermarket history that includes such national names as A&P and Kroger, and also regional players such as Food Lion, Colonial Stores/Big Star, Bi-Lo, and Harris-Teeter. Charlotte was also home to the one of the first Super Kmart prototypes and to one of the first enclosed malls in the southeast.
