Colonial Stores (which at different times operated under the Pender’s, Rogers, and Big Star names) had a long history throughout the southeastern states, primarily Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia, but also owned the Albers stores in Indiana for a time. Colonial also operated supermarket departments in Cooks/Clarks, Richway, and other discount department stores.
