This is a list of all chain grocery locations my research has uncovered in Pasadena and Altadena between 1925 and 1971, compiled from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. There may be some omissions due to incomplete or missing data, etc. and I welcome suggestions and corrections. Please read about my methodology for more information about what I do and do not include.

I am doing ancestry and my cousin said he owned and ran a grocery store in the 1950’s in Pasadena, Los Angeles, California. He is deceased he died in 1981 and his name was Styles Reno Brown originally from Oklahoma. I am just curious to see the grocery store he owned nothing more. Are you able to tell me the name? Thank you for your time.
