This is a list of all chain grocery locations my research has uncovered in Colorado Springs between 1925 and 2021, compiled from city directories, telephone books, and other sources. There may be some omissions due to incomplete or missing data, etc. and I welcome suggestions and corrections. Please read about my methodology for more information about what I do and do not include.

Notes:
- From 1925 to 1940, the ownership of Piggly Wiggly stores is very confusing. In 1925, they were under the ownership of Piggly Wiggly Grimes. In 1930, these same stores were listed as “Continental” but I suspect they still operated as Piggly Wiggly. In 1935, the listing for Safeway read “operators of Piggly Wiggly stores” though one had actually opened as a Safeway. In 1940, the Piggly Wiggly stores (many in the same locations as 1935). were owned by Arapahoe, which had apparently closed all its other stores; Safeway had a whole new set of stores under its own name.
- By 2021, all the local Albertsons stores had been rebranded as Safeway several years after the two chains merged.
- In the early 1970s, National briefly rebranded at least some of its Miller’s stores under the Del Farm name as they did in Denver.
